When you grow up with your best friend through some of the most exciting and testing times of life, you cherish the moments and memories like these. I used to think becoming a mom, mommy, or mama happened after birth. But I quickly came to realize that's not how it works and there's so much more that happens before it.
You become a mama the moment you start praying for their little soul. Whether you are trying, blessed with an angel, pregnant, adopted, IVF, IUI, taken a child under your wing, fostered or given birth, you became a mommy. Something in you clicks and your thinking completely changes as if every little moment came to this. If you don't believe me, watch a mama prepare her home, give her body, and research everything for this little souls future. The way you carry yourself, take care of yourself, think and prepare for their future completely changes.
I actually got the honor to walk beside my best friend and her family (easily my second family), through each stage she graced with her entire heart. I become a puddle of mush the moment I finally got to see her in full mommy mode and meet her precious baby boy, James. I don't specialize in lifestyle or newborn, but I think this is quite easily my favorite gallery I have ever created.
